Linear Scales

Linear scales measure the distance between two points on a surface. They consist of two parts: a scale and an indicator. The scale has marks that represent the distance measured by that particular scale. The indicator shows how many marks there are on the scale and which mark currently in use for measurement purposes.

Linear scales come in many different forms, including analog and digital models. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages, depending on what you need from your measuring tool. Analog scales use physical movement to indicate measurements. In contrast, digital scales display numbers electronically.

You can find them in numerous environments like the manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and food industries.
