Vernier Height Gages

Vernier height gages measure the height of objects. They measure the vertical distance between two parallel edges and then add a vernier scale to get more precise measurements.

Measure the vertical distance with the main scale, which has numbered graduation marks, to determine the length of an object. The vernier scale then measures small differences in distance between the edges and the main scale. This allows you to measure differences in height more accurately than you would with other types of gages.

Vernier height gages have many applications where you need to measure small distances between two parallel surfaces. They are applicable for general-purpose measurement tasks, such as making sure screws are flush against their heads or that woodwork is level across multiple pieces.
