Linear Gages

Linear gages measure linear dimensions. They are applicable in various industries, including automotive manufacturing, aerospace manufacturing, consumer products manufacturing, and packaging.

They measure the following types of dimensions:

-Length: The distance between two points on an object or between two points on a surface.

-Width: The distance between opposite sides of an object or between opposite sides of a surface.

-Height: The distance from the lowest point on an object or from the lowest point on a surface to its highest point.

In order to use linear gages effectively, you must first calibrate them with known standards. After calibration, you can use them as part of a measurement system that combines computers with other instruments such as scales or micrometers.
