Bench Micrometers

Bench micrometers measure the thickness of objects and materials. They’re the type of micrometer that you’ll use if you’re working with a variety of different materials in your workshop or lab. They’re easy to use, but they do require some training to master. You’ll need to learn how to properly read the measurements from the scale on your bench micrometer.

Bench micrometers measure everything from small parts and pieces to large sheets of metal. They’re also helpful in checking parts assembled by other people or machines, such as gears or bearings, because they allow you to check their accuracy quickly and easily without disassembling them first. Use bench micrometers with any material—ceramic, glass, plastic, wood, metal—and they make it easy for anyone with basic knowledge of math or science to measure things accurately every time.
