Sheet Metal Micrometers

Sheet metal micrometers measure the thickness of sheet metal. They use a dial or digital display to show the thickness in thousandths of an inch (or millimeters). Additionally, you can adjust them to read higher or lower than their initial setting.

Sheet metal micrometers can measure thicknesses that range from 0.001 inches to 0.125 inches. They’re available in both digital and analog models.

Handheld versions are easy to carry around and use on-site, while benchtop versions offer more precision. Benchtop versions can also mount onto a stand, allowing you to use them more efficiently over long periods of time without getting tired hands or wrists. This is a significant advantage if you work with sheet metal regularly.
